Freud_SD208_8-Inch_Professional_Dado Technical Details Features Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide with Titanium for long life and a flawless finish The negative hook angles make flat bottom grooves and virtually splinter-free cuts Slot widths from 1/4-inch to 13/16-inch in 1/16-inch increments Set includes two outer blades and 3 two wing chippers (3- 1/8" chippers & 3- 1/16" spacers) Includes shim set for micro adjustments
Product Details Clean edges, square shoulders, and flat bottoms: the Freud SD208 Eight-Inch Professional Dado Set cuts with ultimate precision, so you can achieve them all. This is your go-to set for efficiently creating dadoes and grooves in a wide range of materials from hardwood to laminate. Boasting thick MicroGrain carbide tips and an anti-kickback design, the set's two outside blades can be resharpened for long-term accuracy. For added versatility, the kit cuts grooves spanning 1/4 to 7/8 inch and includes a shim set.
Resharpening Blades for Smooth, Splinter-Free Dadoes The perfect dado set for the fine cabinetmaker or weekend woodworker, the Freud SD208 produces dadoes and grooves that meet with flush, even edges. So you can be assured of precise cuts every time, the set is equipped with precision-grade features, starting with two proprietary outside blades that can be resharpened to deliver accuracy for the long term.
These high-quality eight-inch, 12-tooth blades with 5/8-inch arbors cut dadoes and grooves that are clean, flat, and virtually splinter free. Cuts made by these blades are accurate the first time, saving you from making repeated passes over the same workpiece.
Flexibility for Cutting Hardwoods, Laminates, and More The Freud SD208 accommodates a wide range of materials, so you can use it from project to project. And because it requires less power to feed, it is ideal for use with underpowered saws. Use it to create dadoes and grooves in hardwood, softwood, chip board, plywood, and laminate (not recommended for non-ferrous materials).
Two-Wing Chippers, Spacers, and Shim Set for Fine Adjustments The set's included chippers/spacers (three 1/8-inch chippers and three 1/16-inch spacers) save you time and energy. With their two-wing design, they efficiently remove waste material and smooth the edges of your workpiece. Plus, they allow you to fine-tune your cuts from 1/4 to 7/8 inch, so you have accurate control over the desired width.
And with the Freud SD208's included shim set, you never have to give up making dadoes with a workpiece that's too thin to fit the width of your dado blades. This handy shim set expands the range of your kerf adjustments, giving you even greater control for achieving a flawless finished workpiece.
Anti-Kickback Design for Safe Operation The quality of this dado set is enhanced by its anti-kickback design, which gives you an added margin of safety while you work.
MicroGrain Carbide Tips for Long-Lasting Performance So you can get maximum performance out of this set, the blade components are constructed with Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide. This means the blades can withstand numerous sharpenings and still retain their precision. And a Tri-metal Brazing process gives the blades impact resistance, so they last for the long term without dulling (a condition that can cause torn wood and uneven cuts).

Incra_LS17SYS_17_Inch_Range_Positioner_with_Pro-II_Joinery_Fence_System Product Description All of INCRA's new lineup of heavy duty router table tops, including the one in the RT Combo#1, feature a 1-1/4" MDF substrate with a high pressure horizontal grade phenolic laminate top and bottom. With a total thickness of 1-3/8", these tops are designed to support even the heaviest of production routers and lifts, and will work with any standard 9-1/4" x 11-3/4" mounting plate.
Rather than the typical router plate leveling set screws that dig into the table's recess requiring constant re-adjustment, Incra's plate leveling system puts flat head levelers in the table, not in the router mounting plate. Access to these levelers is through the 10 access holes located around the perimeter of the mounting plate. Just insert the hex key in the access holes and turn to adjust. After leveling, a simple quarter turn of the corner mounted Cam-Lock securely holds the plate in the router table's recess.
All INCRA router tables are shipped with a 3/8" solid aluminum router mounting plate featuring the exclusive Magna-Lock magnetic throat plate system.
Changing any of the included throat plates is a snap with the Magna Lock System. Just drop in the selected plate. The high energy, rare-earth magnets hold the plate secure and perfectly flush every time. All of the mounting plates include 3 laser cut throat plates with a 1", 2-1/8" and 3-5/8" opening. Sawstop_PCS31230__TGP52_Professional_Cabinet_Saw Technical Details High quality Professional T-Glide fence system and gas assisted elevation system SawStop's patented safety system which stops the blade within 5 milliseconds of detecting contact with skin Superior dust collection that collects up to 99.5% of particulates, keeping dust from your lungs Tool-free quick-change insert and blade guard making it easy to open the insert and switch between the blade guard and riving knife.

The SawStop Professional Cabinet Saw is designed to perform in high use facilities including commercial shops and schools. Powerful 3 HP motor, the PCS delivers high levels of power and can be plugged in to a standard 230-volt outlet. Hammers are for driving nails, not adjusting saws. Discrete adjustment points throughout allow you to make precise blade-to-table and trunnion-to-table alignments using a hex wrench rather than brute force. Engineered for the automotive industry, the long-lasting Poly-V ribbed belt can run continuously while delivering greater power transfer and reduced vibration to the blade for better cuts. The elevation and tilt mechanisms use self-cleaning teeth to keep debris free from key internal mechanisms. Powder-coated cabinet resists rust and corrosion ensuring stability and reliability for years to come. Massive 62mm main arbor bearing delivers long lasting performance. The largest bearing ever used in a 10” cabinet saw provides you with smoother performance and longer life. Extension table legs bolt to the rails rather than the table reducing the risk of damage to the table during movement.

The_Powermatic_1792001K_Model_PM_2000_Cabinet_Saw Technical Details Quick release riving knife greatly reduces binding/kickback risk Built-in retractable caster system (patent pending) for immediate shop mobility
Product Description The award winning Powermatic 1792001K PM2000 Three-Horsepower, One-Phase Table Saw with Accu-Fence System and Rout-R-Lift sets a new standard for innovation with an array of patented features and massive body design. Years of input from woodworkers helped focus the features that make the PM2000 the new standard by which cabinet saws are judged.
Advanced Trunnion Mechanism Though Powermatic's trunnion mechanism has long been regarded as the best in the industry, their designers further refined it. The rigid, box-style cast-iron construction, high-end bearings, and conical-shaped worm gear drive with increased contact area combine with the smooth, solid feel of the tilt and height adjustments. Also the adjustable backlash means users can easily adjust the mechanism back to factory-fresh clearances and feel.
Easy Adjustments and Mobility Two oversize, eight-inch-diameter cast-iron handwheels, each with a large spinner handle, make blade height and bevel adjustments almost effortless, while a quick-release riving knife greatly reduces binding/kickback risk. Also, a built-in, retractable-caster system (patent pending) provides mobility, and a push-button arbor lock (patent pending) ensures rapid blade changes.
Durable Construction and Vibration-Free Performance The PM2000 is built to last. Fabricated from heavy-gauge steel, its cabinet is fitted to a huge cast-iron base (the heaviest in its class) that provides exceptional stability and virtually eliminates vibration. Also, the full-length 5/8-inch-diameter arbor is precision machined from stress-proof steel to exceptionally high tolerances for accuracy.
The specially designed arbor threads eliminate the dip between them and the shaft that can allow thin dado chippers to hang out of alignment with the rest of the stack. To keep operation quieter and smoother, a poly-V drive-belt system transfers power from the motor to the arbor with virtually no vibration and less heat build-up.
Tackles the Big Jobs Large workpieces aren't a problem with the 22- x 30-1/2-inch (W x D) primary cast-iron table surface, which expands to 42 inches long. All cast-iron surfaces are finely ground to ensure a smooth, mar-free work surface that provides more support for the big jobs. And a front- and rear-edge bevel prevents catching of the miter gauge on the table edge.
Also, the push-button arbor lock is accessible from above the tabletop, eliminating the need for dual arbor wrenches, while a melamine-surface extension table gives you even more room to work.
Power and Precision The PM2000 is powered by a three-horsepower, one-phase motor controlled by a newly designed magnetic on/off switch that allows disabling of the machine when not in use, and protects against accidental start-ups caused by power fluctuations.
This machine also comes equipped with an industrial-duty Accu-Fence system for accurate cuts, and a heavy-duty, deluxe, micro-adjust miter gauge with aluminum-extruded 13-inch extension fence for dependable workpiece support and fine angle adjustments.
Dust Collection For a healthier, cleaner work environment, a dust shroud encloses much of the blade below the table, and a quick release hose connects the shroud to a standard four-inch-diameter port on the rear of the cabinet.
The PM2000 is backed by a five-year warranty.

Powermatic_1792000K_Model_PM_2000_Cabinet_Saw Technical Details Left-tilting table saw with 50-inch fence; arbor lock; built-in retractable casters; dust collection 3-horsepower, 1-ph, 230-volt motor; riving knife with quick release; poly-v belt Cast-iron trunnion and extension wings Includes saw, fence, left and right wings, arbor wrench, (no blade or power cord) 85-by-37-by-34-1/2-inches; 600-pounds; 1-year warranty
Product Description Powered by a three-horsepower, one-Ph motor, the award winning Powermatic PM2000 10-Inch Cabinet Saw sets a new standard for innovation with an array of patented features and massive body design. It boasts the heaviest cast-iron base in its class to virtually eliminate table vibration, oversized cast-iron tables, and a push-button arbor lock that's conveniently accessible from above the tabletop.
Rugged Design for Smooth Operation Designed with input from professional woodworkers, the PM2000 provides incredible quality, efficient functionality, and long-term durability.
Its refined heavy-duty trunnion mechanism features rigid, box-style cast-iron construction, high-end bearings, and a conical-shaped worm gear drive with an increased contact area to enhance the smooth, solid feel of the tilt and height adjustment.
A pair of oversized, eight-inch-diameter cast-iron hand wheels, each with a large spinner handle, makes blade height and bevel adjustments virtually effortless. And to prevent long-term use from loosening the hand wheels on their shafts, they are locked in place with machined grooves and keys rather than setscrews.
Precision Machined Arbor and Poly-V Drive Belt System The full-length 5/8-inch diameter arbor is precision machined from stress-proof steel to exceptionally high tolerances for accuracy. It accepts stacked dado sets up to 13/16-inch wide, and because there is no gap between the threads and arbor shank, thin chippers won't hang out of line.
Also, the push-button arbor lock makes for rapid blade changes, while a high quality poly-V drive belt system transmits more power without slippage or excessive noise.
Generously Sized Tables and Extensions All the high-luster, cast-iron surfaces are finely ground to ensure a smooth, mar-free work surface that provides more support for big jobs and have both a front- and rear-edge bevel for hassle-free work piece positioning.
Measuring approximately 30.5 x 22.0 inches (W x L), the primary cast-iron tabletop expands to 42 inches long when the standard cast-iron extension wings are bolted up, giving you plenty of space for even large work pieces.
Safe, Sturdy Design The PM2000 also comes equipped with a newly designed magnetic On/Off switch for safety. To prevent accidental start-ups, there's a removable magnetic "key" that disables the switch when it's not in place. For additional protection against damage, a quick-release riving knife greatly reduces binding/kickback risk.
High-Tech Guard System The PM2000's blade guard and riving knife system can be adjusted tool-free for the job at hand. At the same time, because the riving knife is mounted directly to the blade mechanism, the gap between it and the blade never changes during height or angle adjustments.
This maintains the safety a riving knife affords in virtually all cutting situations.
Accuracy and Precision An industrial-duty 50-inch Accu-Fence System ensures accurate cuts. Adjustable angle indicators on the blade bevel scale for repeatable bevel cuts. Additionally, a heavy-duty, deluxe, micro-adjust miter gauge with a 13-inch extension fence ensures stable workpiece support and easy fine-angle adjustments.
Finally, to facilitate movement in and around the shop, the massive cast-iron base has a built-in retractable, four-wheel caster system.

Powermatic_1792002K_PM2000_Cabinet_Saw Technical Details Left Tilt Operation Arbor Lock, quick and safe blade change 3-horsepower, 1ph 230-volts only Retractable Casters built-inch Shrouded Blade, efficient dust collection
Product Description Powered by a three-horsepower, one-Ph motor, the award winning Powermatic PM2000 10-Inch Cabinet Saw sets a new standard for innovation with an array of patented features and massive body design. It boasts the heaviest cast-iron base in its class to virtually eliminate table vibration, oversized cast-iron tables, and a push-button arbor lock that's conveniently accessible from above the table top.
Rugged Design for Smooth Operation Designed with input from professional woodworkers, the PM200 provides incredible quality, efficient functionality, and long-term durability. Its refined, heavy-duty trunnion mechanism features super-rigid, box-style cast-iron construction, high-end bearings, and a conical-shaped, worm gear drive with an increased contact area to enhance the smooth, solid feel of the tilt and height adjustment.
A pair of oversized eight-inch diameter cast iron hand wheels, each with a large spinner handle, makes blade height and bevel adjustments virtually effortless. And to prevent long-term use from loosening the hand wheels on their shafts, they are locked in place with machined grooves and keys, rather than setscrews.
Precision Machined Arbor and Poly-V Belt Drives The full-length 5/8-inch diameter arbor is precision machined from stress-proof steel to exceptionally high tolerances for accuracy. It accepts stacked dado sets up to 13/16-inch wide, and because there is no gap between the threads and arbor shank, thin chippers won't hang out of line.
Also, the push-button arbor lock facilitates rapid blade changes, while a high quality poly-v drive belt system transmits more power without slippage or excessive noise.
Generously Sized Tables and Extensions All the high-luster, cast-iron surfaces are finely ground to ensure a smooth, mar-free work surface that provides more support for the big jobs. They also have both a front- and rear-edge bevel for hassle-free work piece positioning.
To prevent accidental startups there's a removable magnetic "key" that disables the switch when it's not in place. For additional protection against damage, a quick release riving knife greatly reduces binding/kickback risk.
High-Tech Guard System The PM2000's blade guard and riving knife system can be adjusted tool-free for the job at hand. Because the riving knife is mounted directly to the blade mechanism, the gap between it and the blade never changes during height or angle adjustments. This maintains the safety a riving knife affords in virtually all cutting situations.
Accuracy and Precision An industrial-duty 30-inch Accu-Fence System ensures accurate cuts, while adjustable angle indicators on the blade bevel scale for repeatable bevel cuts. Additionally, a heavy-duty deluxe micro-adjust miter gauge with a 13-inch extension fence ensures stable work piece support and easy fine angle adjustments
Finally, to facilitate movement in and around the shop, the massive cast iron base has a built-in retractable, four-wheel caster system.
Dimensions and Warranty Information The PM2000 measures 37 x 39 x 65 inches (W x H x D), weighs 627 pounds, and is backed by a five-year warranty.

The_Makita_2703_15_Amp_10_Inch_Bench_Top_Table_Saw Technical Details 10-inch table saw with 27-by-22-inch table; cam-locking rip fence; electric brake 15 amp motor; 3-9/16-inch cut capacity; rack-and-pinion design bevel adjust PVC base, magnesium table, carbide blade Includes saw, blade, rip fence, miter gauge, wrenches, manual 27 by 22 inches; 40 pounds; 1-year warranty
Product Description For the price, Makita's 10-inch portable table saw is a solid choice for the job site. The 15 amp motor packs plenty of power, and with a 3-9/16-cut capacity, this saw will rip four-by material on a single pass. This saw also has an electric brake, so adjustments between cuts are both safer and quicker to make. The table's a good size, too: 27 by 22 inches. We also really like the saw's new cam-lock rip fence, which is much easier to adjust than double-locking designs. The bevel adjust has a pretty good rack-and-pinion design (metal, admittedly, would be better). All in all, this saw strikes a nice balance between weight (only 40 pounds) and vibration (minimal). Simply put, the Makita 2703 is a solid saw, better for the job site (quick, powerful, lightweight) than the home shop. For the shop, we'd recommend a saw with a more accurate fence.

The_Makita_2704_15_Amp_10_Inch_Contractor_Table_Saw Technical Details 10-inch contractors benchtop table saw Large cutting capacity (3-5/8 inches at 90 degrees and 2-1/2 inches at 45 degrees) rips 4x material in one pass; can use up to a 13/16-inch dado blade Aluminum die cast, precision machined table top remains flat and true for out of the box accuracy Includes carbide-tipped blade, rip fence, angled miter gauge, #5 and #19 wrenches, socket wrench #13-22 Weighs 82 pounds; 1-year warranty
Product Description The only difference between this Makita jobsite saw and a fancy cabinet saw is that you can easily pick this one up and put it in your truck. In terms of power, capacity, accuracy and capability, it’s a draw.
A 15-amp motor revs up to provide 4,800 rpm, plenty for cutting anything you can feed it, and its impressive cutting capacity lets you rip 4-by stock in one pass without moaning or slowing – that’s power. The table’s perfectly flat, and with its extension, it can actually hand a full sheet of ply, cutting dadoes of almost an inch. The thing that makes this saw stand out from its competitors is the T-slots for the miter gauge, resulting in a nice tight fit with zero play and total support – no tipping -- when you’re beyond the table surface. Even better, commercial jigs and accessories with the T-shank just slip right in. The blade height mechanism is among the smoothest we’ve seen, and precision is unparalleled. The fence is sturdy and smooth as well, with predrilled holes for an auxiliary fence. It moves like a dream and locks down tight with an easy-to-grip cam handle. Storage is well thought-out and executed on the 2704, with a place for everything from the fence to the push stick. We like that there’s even a place for the blade below the table to protect it while it’s traveling. At 61 pounds, it’s light enough to tote, and there are handholds beveled out on the sides of the table to make the job easier. Contractors, trim carpenters and the home woodworker will love this saw.

If you are interested in upgrading your table saw you have probably spent some time on the woodworking forums and blogs for ideas and guidance. Many users like you are surprised to read advice from woodworking experts that suggests you might be able to get the ripping performance you need simply by upgrading the quality of your table saw fence, not by starting over with a new table saw.
So why don’t manufacturers include high quality precision rip fences with all their table saw models? Well with higher end contractor and cabinet saws most of them do, but with the mid and lower priced models they go for the “lowest common denominator” with the fence and put their design and construction dollars into the table saw itself. Since these models are aimed at a broader market, the idea is that the majority of users don’t need high precision ripping capability and would be less likely to buy if the price of the saw went up considerably to accommodate the inclusion of a top quality table saw fence. If you’re not in that category, what should you be looking for in a good table saw fence?
Rip Saw Performance
The key things to consider in a quality rip fence system are precision, consistency, and ease of adjustment. If you want to rip framing lumber to a width of 1 3/8 inches your rip fence system should allow you to easily “set it and forget it.” If at some point you need to change the width of the cut to 1 5/8 inches you should be able to do that quickly and easily. A good fence has an easy to read gauge so you can set it to the desired width and when attached to the table or rails should come into alignment with the blade right away. And once you start the job, the fence should stay in place without your having to recheck the alignment after every cut. In short, if you are cutting ten pieces of lumber the tenth should be exactly the same width as the first, and you shouldn’t have had to adjust the fence at all along the way.
Many novice users forget that sometimes problems with fence alignment are due to problems with blade alignment. So the first thing you should do when evaluating the performance of your rip fence is make sure the blade is properly aligned.
Blade Alignment
To do this you need a fixed position against which to test the blade’s alignment. The miter slot on the surface of the table saw provides this position. Since manufacturers use a variety of blade mounting systems, the alignment procedure varies from table saw to table saw. Your owner’s manual will outline the procedure and don’t worry if you’ve lost it. Get the model number and serial number of the saw from the face plate and head for the internet. You can easily find owner’s manuals for almost all saws online. In almost all cases the procedure involves measuring the distance from the miter slot to the blade at both ends and loosening a few bolts to tap the blade into the correct position if does not line up properly.
After Market Rip Fences
There are a wide variety of aftermarket rip fences available. Amazon.com is a great place to look as their listings include customer reviews. Which system is best is a matter of debate and you would be well advised to spend some time on the woodworking forums to get an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of the most highly rated systems from manufacturers like Biesemeyer, Vega, Inca, and Accusquare. If the thought of shelling out between $300 and $400 is more than you can bear, Delta has a highly rated system, the T2, for less than $200. It comes with rails which are a huge advantage when it comes to positioning your fence easily. Amazon also offers the Shop Fox W2005 for a little over $200.

If you’ve searched the Internet for top rated Contractor Saws you already know that the Ridgid TS3650 Table Saw makes almost all lists, either as best value or best high end features. You also know the model has been discontinued in favor of the 3660, and even that model will be tough to find.
With increasing competition and technological advantages more and more manufacturers are discontinuing well regarded older models in favor of upgraded offerings.
Ridgid has chosen to concentrate on its higher end portable model, the TS2410LS, and its entry into the Hybrid Table Saw market, the R4511. Their Hybrid Table Saw features the latest advance in table saw surface construction – a granite table top.
But the TS3650/3660 is still out there and with such universal acceptance as a saw that offers more high end features than any other at an excellent price point, it may be worth the search. Let’s look at some of the features that set the Ridgid TS3650 and TS3660 apart from the competition.
Construction
Ridgid didn’t spare the cast iron in the design of this saw. The table surface, the extensions, and a uniquely designed single piece trunion cradle are all made of cast iron. Many competitive models have cast iron tables, with lesser materials used in the extension wings and the trunion assembly. The overall heft of the design and construction of the saw contributes to the low-vibration and smooth-running quality of the saw’s motor.
The TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) 1.5 hp induction motor keeps dust and debris out and yields a hefty 3,450 rotations per minute (Rpms). A TEFC induction motor will last a very long time, so you should be able to find used TS 3650/3660 models out there with years of life left in them. As a contractor saw the motor is mounted on the outside of the table, a negative in the eyes of many reviewers. The newer R4511 – as a true hybrid saw – has the motor mounted underneath the table. The drive system uses a poly V-belt – a huge advantage over cheaper direct drive systems.
The controls are well positioned in the front of the saw and easily accessible. An excellent safety feature is the ease with which the operator can cut the power to the saw simply by touching the on/off switch with the knee. The splitter/blade guard will need tools to be removed and reattached, which is a safety drawback. The newer R4511 uses the much safer riving knife design, where the knife is not a part of the blade guard assembly and rises and lowers with the blade itself.
Accessories
The miter gauge is a T-style and the fence is self-aligning and is easily locked to the front and rear rails. The fence also features a micro-adjust knob. The included blade is a 40 tooth, carbide-tipped, thin kerf blade, suitable for both ripping and cross-cutting.
The Herc-U-Lift mobile base allows the operator to simply push down on a foot pedal, which raises the entire saw which can then be rolled around on caster style, heavy duty wheels. This feature also enables some contractors to actually take this saw along to job sites, although lifting it is definitely a two person job.
Assembly
Reviewers have found the assembly instructions very clear and easy to follow. Estimates for total time needed to assemble the TS 3650/3660 range from four to eight hours. Everything you need comes in one large, heavy box and you would be well advised to have someone with you during assembly. The saw gets high marks for the ease of initial alignment as well.
This model is well worth an extended search, but if you are not having much luck or you really don’t want to invest the time and effort into hunting for it, you might want to consider the Hybrid R4511. Although a few units were recalled in the late summer of 2009, Ridgid still features them on their website and they were selling at selected Home Depots in mid-January of 2010 at clearance discounts. Perhaps yet another new and improved model is coming!

Although Craftsman tags the 21828 as a professional jobsite bench top saw, it is an attractive option for all users. It has some truly unique design features, most notably the wheels and the telescoping handle. People buy bench top saws because they can be picked up and moved from one jobsite to another. Mostmodels weigh around fifty pounds, but that’s still a load to lug around in your arms. With the six inch wheels and the pull out handle, the 21828 in effect becomes its own dolly.
This saw retails for under $300 and no other saw on the market has this useful feature. The motor is powerful enough for most anything and even has higher RPMs than a comparable and more expensive DeWalt model. Included accessories all have on board storage and the saw features the newer 3 position blade guards that can be removed without tools for those special cuts.
So far, this saw has been well received but Craftsman would do well to consider offering a stand as an accessory option. Many bench top saws come with stands so they can do double duty on a jobsite as well as in the shop, or they offer one as an accessory.
Pros This saw easily compares to the Dewalt 10 inch Compact Saw and cost $100 dollars less!
Excellent saw for the money. At under $300 this saw is the cheapest good contractor saw on the market right now. 15 AMP, 5,000 RPM motor (The Dewalt has a 3850 rpm motor) 3 position tool-less blade guard can be used as a spreader and guard for through cuts, a riving knife for non-through cuts, and eaily removed for dado cuts (Dewalt has not been upgraded for the 2009 safety standards) Steel tubing roll cage wraps around the saws cabinet for added durability
Telescoping handle and 6 in. wheels for easy portability (Dewalt has no handle or wheels) Right sliding table extension extends up to a 24 in. rip capacity Rear out feed support for ripping operations Accepts 6 in. stacked dado set-up to 1/2 in. Self-aligning rip fence clamps on front and rear of table for cutting accuracy 3/4 in. T-slot miter gauge and dual T-slot miter grooves 2 1/2in. dust port for easy attachment of dust collection On-board storage for Miter Gauge, Push Stick, Power Cord and Blade Wrenches Includes: 36 Tooth Carbide Blade, Rip Fence, Miter Gauge, Blade Wrenches, Push Stick, Blade Guard, Anti-kickback Pawls, and Hex Key
Cons It does not come with a stand. A lot of contractors just plop their saw on the ground and use it there but to use a table saw safely the table should be about waist high. You will have to buy a stand or build your own stand out of a couple of 2X4’s and 1/2 inch plywood.
A good solid stand for this saw is the Bosch Gravity Rise Stand. If you want a cheaper stand the DeWalt Portable Table Saw Stand should work just fine.

Grizzly_G0661_10_Inch_2_HP_Contractor_Style_Table_Saw_with_Riving_Knife
You may be wondering how Grizzly can offer a Contractor Style Table Saw with a riving knife that moves up and down with the blade? Well, they combined the lightweight open contractor style stand with a vertically aligned motor and blade raising and tilting mechanism that's supported by heavy cast iron table mounted trunnions. No more cantilevered motor mounts and stationary riving knives. You also get the benefit of very efficient dust collection since the hood moves with the blade mechanism. Grizzly_G0576_10_Inch_Table_Saw_2_HP_Single-Phase_220V_Left-Tilt_with_Cast_Wings Grizzly caters to the professional woodworker and the serious hobbyist. As an example, they don’t even make a portable table saw, the most popular type of table saw on the market today. But if you compare the Grizzly G0576 to the more popular Ridgid TS3660 or the Craftsman 22114 you’ll find the Grizzly gets much better reviews and is not that far off in price. The Craftsman 22114 goes for $759 while the Grizzly is shipped to your door for $789. For some reason, Home Depot no longer sells the TS3660 in the United States but it is still available in Canada for 599 Canadian dollars.
The G0576 is a solid cast iron table with a cast iron pulley assembly and a full 2 HP motor. While it comes prewired for 220v it can be converted to 110v. The rip fence is the Shop Fox Classic, a Biesemeyer look alike that gets very high marks from expert reviewers. It has a powder coated finish, a beveled table edge and includes dado inserts.

Grizzly_G1023SLX_Cabinet_Table_Saw
Once again, if price is a concern, this saw goes for $1169 delivered and if you check the woodworking forums you’ll find expert users who compare it very favorably to the PM66 from Powermatic which goes for around $3500. It has a 3 HP motor with a triple V belt drive but is strictly a 220v machine so you may have to add a special circuit. If you want more power, the G1023SLWX has a whopping 5 HP motor for about $100 more! In addition, the slide out extension table on the G1023SLWX doubles as a router table.
The G1023SLX has 7 foot rails and the highly acclaimed Shop Fox Classic rip fence. It also features a slide out extension table allowing a full 54 inch width cutting capacity to the right of the blade. If you like the idea of getting a Grizzly you should see if you have a Shop Fox dealer in your area. Shop Fox has some table saw models that are virtually identical to some Grizzlies and they come with a two year warranty, backed up with local dealer service. Shop Fox also has a more complete line of accessories like their D2260 and D2057 mobile bases that can be added to allow heavy contractor saws to be moved when needed.

If you're thinking about purchasing a premium portable table saw, you might want to wait a couple months. We just got advance information about a new line of portable table saws from Bosch Power Tools with features that made us say: "We gotta test that tool." The new Bosch 4100 series of 10" saws – due out in a couple months – will be the first portable table saws that we know of that have European-style guarding. Bosch is calling it the "Smart Guard System" but around our shop we call this style of guard the only system that makes sense.
